Mexico City, March 7, 2014.- The dramatic comedy A Hologram for the King, directed by Tom Twyker (Cloud Atlas, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer), will be involved in coproduction with Mexican company Fábrica de Cine, which is led by Mexican businessman and filmmaker, Gastón Pavlovich.
Pavlovich, who in 2013 gave his first step as entrepreneur in the film industry by founding Fábrica de Cine, participates as co-producer alongside German and American executives in the film A Hologram for the King.
A Hologram for the King is the adaptation of the homonymous novel by David Eggers. The film begins production in present-day Morocco. It is an independent production starring the multiple Academy Awards winner Tom Hanks. The cast also includes: Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Omar Elba (Intelligence), Tracey Fairway (Enough Said), David Menkin (Zero Dark 30), and Tom Skerritt (Ted, Top Gun).
The film is produced by Uwe Scott (Cloud Atlas, Me and Kaminski). Executive producers for A Hologram for the King are Dave Eggers, Playons Steven Shareshian, Silver Reels Claudia Bluemhuber, Fábrica de Cines Gastón Pavlovich, and Lotuss Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel.
Fábrica de Cine has plans to produce at least four films between this year and 2015, with the support of national and international businessmen and financiers.
